Madeleine's family is gone and her Uncle has emptied their manor house and dismissed the servants prior to dragging her onto a ship bound for the Americas. Meanwhile she has the key to a family secret and hopes she can recover something once they
hit New Orleans that will allow her to restore her family home and the people she loves to their positions. She takes drastic measures to escape the noxious man her Uncle would have her marry and finds herself at sea on a pirate ship with the notorious pirate Captain Sébastien Leclerc...
Sébastien has his own noble secrets. This story follows them on their very different quests, with peril, friendship, pretending, and family dramas.
Their love develops despite the trust issues and multiple masquerades they both must play.
Once again Annie Seaton has delivered a real winner. She also manages to leave us wanting the next installment in this shared world.
I have read every single book by this author, and again this one is my new favorite.
The locale and era is different from my own but the feelings and motivations of her characters are relate-able and ultimately Annie manages to draw us into her world, only releasing us as we turn the last page... or rather a short time thereafter.

This is book two in the Half Moon Bay series but it can be read as a stand alone.
Sienna and Jack are both artists but despite the attraction they felt a couple years ago when they met, they have not acted on it and have no idea quite how similar they are.
Sienna has been managing Jack's gallery but had no idea and suddenly he's there... heck, he's everywhere.
Jack and Sienna fight it, but undeniably there is an attraction... too bad he's her boss!
The characters are driven and believable; I adore Jack. Sienna on the cover... my first reaction was, "gosh, I want to feed her". Jack has the same reaction.
The book also has frogs... the descriptions of the art make me itch... I want it!
Annie is absolutely one of my favorite authors and she has once again created a winner. I cannot wait for book 3 and to read Georgie's story.
I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I also liked it enough to pre-order and BUY a copy.

I have a VERY SERIOUS concern to share and ask for your help with.
There is a website STEALING from at least 15 (confirmed) of my favorite authors. Romance, Mystery, Science Fiction, Fantasy, no genre seems immune. Big authors and little, well established and independent... it is HORRID.
That is right. STEALING. I am talking PIRACY people.
They are stealing intellectual property, income, and devaluing the hard work these authors put in to entertain us.
DISGUSTING.
How?
They are selling books without an author's permission or knowledge.
So far I know for sure (confirmed via author) that more than15 of MY authors are definitely being cheated along with dozens more that friends on other Street Teams have contacted. I am not done yet either...
So PLEASE... I want you to NOT buy from this site. (Hello - that would be SO WRONG)
I also request that you look up any authors that you are on a street team for or just plain love or respect... and if they are on this site; let them know too.
Send them a PM please. You do not know how some sheeple will react to a buy link... we do not need to make the problem worse by getting the pirates customers now do we?
This piracy is wrong, it is CRIMINAL, and it is mean. Let's stop them!

If you care about your authors and their ability to AFFORD to continue to provide us with the quality and consistency of entertainment; don't buy from PIRATES and do report them!
That's my rant.
I VERY very rarely give a negative review to a book. I can think of 2 really truly bad reviews I have ever posted anywhere. I truly have to feel so strongly that the book is awful or evil to be that negative.
Today I posted the 2nd.
I almost feel sick putting my displeasure out there.
I just cannot see anybody else paying for and wasting their time though, when it is just that bad of a book...
What is worse though, is this time I was especially motivated by my sense of what is right and wrong.
The author actually went into Amazon and Goodreads and personally attacked each and every single negative review. Anyone not giving her book full stars was told they had not read the book and in many cases they were told... we know who you are and just creepy veiled threats.
THIS is so completely UNACCEPTABLE.
I know I can look forward to the same gestapo treatment.
I did what was right though and hopefully someone will think twice and not waste their time or money because I warned them.
Wow. Talk about a diaper load. This book is SO absolutely full of C***.

Single parents Sexy Dad and Super Mom end up on a blind date with each other by mistake... or was it? Short and sweet, I enjoyed this read.
The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I would have liked to spend more time with Georgia and Brent, but this book is exactly as advertised; an indulgence, a sexy little morsel of goodness.
I was asked today if I would ever date another parent of a child mine went to school with. That is the question, are we willing to take a risk? It is a small world and it is hard to be a single parent, harder still to get back out there, where else are we going to meet people if not in our day to day lives? Plus even if you go online as Georgia did, what are the chances of coming accross someone you know in say... 1 out of 4 or 5 dates?
The author says this story is a place where readers can really relate to her characters... the only bad part is that you want more.

When I first discovered Angie / Lizzie, I was SO excited. This was a new author, a new book, a new series... and I loved all of them. A different take on the paranorm and very fun. Plus, I could not wait for the next book. Immediately this became one of my very top favs. If you like paranorm, witches, talking animals, sexy men, shape-shifters, magic, demons or demonslaying; you will love this book!
Chat Love was fun and funny. The book has a tale about online dating that is perfect for today. I must admit, Justine had me in one of the first scenes... imagine being in Lucia's shoes, on a blind date with what actually seems like a great guy, she lets herself get swept up and spends some lip-lock time. Now, fast forward to her trip home from the restaurant in a taxi; Lucia is on the phone with the friend who set her up on the blind date tonight and she turns to see her date Richard in the car next to her as they are both stopped at a red light. Imagine her disgust when he not only picks a winner, he eats it!! After all, she just had kissy-face with him. Never fear, Lucia meets her match, but the journey is the tale. Oh and it is a lovely tale to tell. You will enjoy meeting all her friends, family and co-workers. Dare we hope for more stories from this crowd?

Oh my goodness! Small spoiler alert. My first book by this author and I am hooked. I am also reading the anthology that has a short story from this universe in it (Paranormal Nights) and cannot wait until the next Lisa story comes out! Lisa is a "fluffy" mother of three who was recently (1 year exactly) widowed. Little does she know that she's a descendant of Charon, her hubby was a reaper, and so is she!! Interesting chemistry with her partner, I cannot wait until the past (partner with her hubby) and present (with her) are explored more. Plus many teasers have been set up to draw you in for the next book; like Hal the porter. I loved this first book in a new series and am looking forward to the next.

Megan leaves Australia for the Glastonbury festivals and has only just arrived to complete the research on her doctoral thesis when disaster strikes. She is asked to come home and defend herself against charges that have caused her to be suspended from her position at the University.
Meanwhile she runs into a super hot family member of her childhood crush, 70's rocker Davy Morgan. He is nasty to her to make sure she keeps her distance because his secret is that he really is Davy Morgan.
Megan is torn between her love for the music plus her big chance to be at this festival and going home to defend herself. Then there is the interplay between Megan and Davy tearing at them both.
The story of a love that crosses the boundaries of time; I loved it! I did not want it to end and wanted more... the only thing wrong with this book is that I want more... maybe we'll see more of Davy and Megan?
